Queens recruit Jordan Watford of Lancaster is The Herald’s high school athlete of the week

Lancaster’s Jordan Watford is The Herald’s high school athlete of the week.

A 6-foot-5 senior, Watford scored 15 points, had three rebounds, two assists, four steals and four blocks in a 59-50 win at South Pointe on Jan. 14.

Watford followed that up with 21 points, eight rebounds, nine assists, three steals and two blocks in a 93-57 victory at Camden on Jan. 17.

Watford, a Queens University commit, is averaging 22.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 2.9 steals and 2.1 blocks for a Lancaster team (14-1) that had won nine straight games through Tuesday
