Vincent Trocheck Was Reportedly A Big Advocate Of J.T. Miller Trade

There was a lot that went into the New York Rangers acquiring J.T. Miller from the Vancouver Canucks and one player was reportedly pushing for it.

According to Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today, Vincent Trocheck, who is very close with Miller, was a big advocate of this trade.

Since the Rangers traded Jacob Trouba to the Anaheim Ducks, Trocheck has stepped up as almost the unofficial captain.

Many people around the Rangers organization have picked up on Trocheck’s leadership and it’s widely speculated that he’s next in line to become the Blueshirts’ captain.

The arrival of Miller puts the Rangers in a win-now mode with the 31-year-old forward joining a veteran core that includes Trocheck, Igor Shesterkin, Adam Fox, Artemi Panarin, Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad.
