Several thefts from cars at gas stations under investigation

Anne Arundel County police are warning the public of several thefts from vehicles while the driver is pumping gas. County police said officers responded to as many as five similar incidents in Laurel and Hanover in which the assailant or assailants steal things from cars while the driver is pumping gas. Police said the assailant(s) pulled up — in either a gray Audi or white Honda Accord — close to the victim's vehicle and stole things like purses and cellphones.
