Yahoo Fantasy analyst Scott Pianowski decides if managers can trust any Saints offensive players after the retirement of Drew Brees

Video Transcript

SCOTT PIANOWSKI: Hot fantasy take on the Saints. How about I don't think I'm going to be drafting a lot of New Orleans Saints in 2021. It's the first season in the post Drew Brees era. And that's probably going to be a problem for fantasy, because I think Jameis Winston in Taysom Hill are both going to play. I even think there's a chance that Taysom Hill could lead this team in rushing touchdowns but not have the most passing yards.

So you say, OK, don't draft a quarterback. So what? I think that's going to lead to inconsistency on this offense. If you want to draft Alvin Kamara in the middle of the first round, that's certainly reasonable. But even at a discount, outside the top 30, I think Michael Thomas is a trap. He's never been really a big touchdown guy.

I don't see great depth in the receiver group as well. I think this offense is going to struggle. They're outside our top 10 for a reason. If you want an ADP value on the Saints, how about tight end Adam Trautman? But generally, this is a team I'll skip over in 2021.
