The Capitals' Stanley Cup rings are absolutely gorgeous
Although the 2018-19 season is quickly approaching, the Washington Capitals aren’t done quite yet when it comes to celebrating the magic of last year’s Cup run.
Ahead of their home opener against the Boston Bruins in which they’ll raise their Stanley Cup banner to the rafters, the team released for all to see the stunning championship rings members of the team will be awarded for their efforts last season.

And let me tell you this: Jostens, the company put in charge of designing this piece of jewellery, absolutely nailed the design.

Engraved on the inside of the ring is a large Capitals logo, accompanied by the emblem of each of the squads they defeated in the playoffs, along with the score of each series.
The ring is just loaded with rocks. Occupying the band is 230 round diamonds, 22 princess cut diamonds, and 14-karat white and yellow gold, according to the Capitals and Jostens.
The star-shaped red ruby located inside of the Stanley Cup on the ring represents the team’s lone championship season, while the pair of stars on either side of the trophy displays the two Eastern Conference finals series the team has qualified for.
Now, you party-raging members of the Capitals, do not lose this thing. Something tells me team owner Ted Leonsis doesn’t want to break out the wallet for another one of these bad boys.
