I Used the Same Ponytail Extensions as Ariana Grande, and They Live Up to the Hype

I’m the queen of changing up my hair. That said, while I love looking cute I also hate spending lots of time achieving any single look, which is why I stick to easygoing styles like box braids, two-strand twists, and low buns. Earlier this year, I decided to add high ponytails to the mix after getting the Miya ponytail from Insert Name Here Hair (INH Hair).

As a self-proclaimed lazy girl, I love that INH's extensions are super easy to use and look high-end. However, I'd lie if I said I wasn't a little nervous that the ponytail wouldn’t match my 4c hair, and while it didn't match my natural texture, it did blend in seamlessly once my hair was blown. The pony comes with Velcro and a clip, making it very simple to secure to the head. All I had to do is put my hair up into a high bun, wrap the Velcro part around the base of my bun, push the comb into my hair, and cover the Velcro with the additional hairpiece to conceal it. Within a minute or two, I had the cutest glam ponytail.

Cofounders Sharon Pak and Jordynn Wynn (who were ColourPop’s original marketing managers) knocked it out of the park while creating INH Hair. Besides cute ponytail extensions like Miya, the brand carries a wide range of wigs and human hair extensions in the forms of clip-ins, bangs, and buns. What's more, they’re super affordable. The Miya ponytail, for example, costs $49.

With such pretty styles at affordable price points, it’s no wonder the brand has become a must-have for hair enthusiasts. In fact, its pieces have been worn by top influencers like Shayla of Makeupshayla and A-listers such as Ariana Grande. Don't believe me? The "7 Rings" singer sported the Miya in her “In My Head” music video for Vogue.

If you like trying out new, simple hairstyles like me, you’re going to love Miya and the rest of INH's pieces. Whenever I have a special occasion and want to elevate my look but don't have a lot of time to do my hair, the Miya comes in clutch. The only caveat is that the hair can feel a little heavy, so I try to limit wearing it for long periods.

All in all, Miya has become a staple in my hair routine—I love how untouchable it makes me feel. Seriously: Whenever I have my pony on, I feel like a glam queen on top of the world, and for that Miya will forever be a fave.
