The Mike Trout-Carson Wentz bromance continues as Wentz gives Trout a TD ball

Carson Wentz tracked down Zach Ertz’s second touchdown ball and ran it over to a specific fan in the front row behind the end zone wearing a Philadelphia Eagles hoodie.

It was Wentz’s gift for the greatest baseball player on the planet.

Wentz wanted to hook up his buddy and Eagles super-fan Mike Trout, the great outfielder for the Los Angeles Angels. Trout, decked out in his Eagles gear with great seats (guess you can sit wherever you want when you have a $144.5 million contract), was fired up to get the ball. He looked like any other Eagles fan, except that he has two American League MVP awards.

The friendship between Wentz and Trout became a story this week. Wentz and Trout went hunting together (“We hunted waterfowl — ducks and geese,” Wentz said) and Trout also sent every member of the Eagles some shoes as a gift.

There aren’t many people Wentz can hang out with who are more famous than him, but his new best friend is in that category.
