Team Canada Wears Adorable Mittens During Rio Olympics Closing Ceremony – and Twitter Loves It!

Team Canada came prepared!

With rain falling in Rio during the Olympics Closing Ceremony, a slew of Canadian athletes took to the Macaraña stadium wearing patriotic mittens in the 64-degree weather.

The athletes wore red and white mittens emblazoned with the Canadian maple leaf.

"Canada is prepared for a chilly losing ceremonies in Rio!" Olympic swimmer Brittany MacLean tweeted on Sunday.

Along with the mittens, the Team Canada athletes honored their home country with red jackets and caps donning with the word "CANADA."

The mittens are available for purchase online for $15 as part of Hudson Bay's Red Mitten Initiative.
