Samantha Busch announces that she suffered miscarriage

Samantha Busch revealed Friday that she recently suffered a miscarriage.

Busch, the wife of 2015 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, made the announcement on Twitter. It came just a week after the couple announced they were expecting a girl. Their son Brexton was born in 2015.

Kyle Busch was in attendance at Thursday night’s Cup Series awards banquet.

The Busch family announced on Nov. 22 that they were cautiously optimistic about Samantha’s pregnancy.

The couple has been extremely open about their attempts to have children and publicly documented the In Vitro Fertilization process they went through this year in their efforts to have a second child.

The Busches have also focused their philanthropic efforts on helping couples who are struggling to have children. The couple’s Bundle of Joy fund helps couples cover the costs of fertility treatments.

The fund has helped numerous couples have children and the Busch family set up a playdate and meet and greet with all of the families and their 14 kids earlier in the year.

“I don’t think words can explain this,” Samantha Busch told NBC in August. “Having them all here together and just seeing them all playing and interacting and the parents sharing their [In Vitro Fertilization] battles and journeys, this is what I always hoped for. This is why God had us go through IVF because look at all these families that are created through it.”
