Oilers Release Injury Updates on Arvidsson And Hyman
The Oilers are almost at full strength.
Viktor Arvidsson was back out on the ice during Oilers practice today, skating on a line with Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins in place of Zach Hyman. Arvidsson practiced with the team for the first time in over a month yesterday, replacing Evan Bouchard on the latter's maintenance day.
It was much the same situation today, with Hyman absent as he recovers from a broken nose he suffered in Monday's loss to the Florida Panthers. Head coach Kris Knoblauch told reporters that Hyman isn't expected to miss any games.

"He doesn't look any better," Knoblauch joked after practice. "He had an appointment today. There's no concussion, there's a broken nose, and he should be fine to play."
Knoblauch also provided an update on Arvidsson's timeline, saying that it's possible he draws in for the Oilers' game against Boston on Thursday, and that either way he'll be back sometime this week.
"This is his first real practice," Knoblauch told reporters. "Today was a little different, with the higher tempo and some body contact. We'll see how he's feeling and make the decision on Thursday."
Coming up on a stretch where the Oilers play three games in four days heading into the Christmas break, Knoblauch said they'll likely "ease [Arvidsson] in," somewhere in the range of 15 minutes per night.
The Oilers got another slight injury scare at practice, as Connor McDavid left practice early after a hard collision with Darnell Nurse. While Knoblauch wasn't able to give an update on McDavid's status, it seems in this case that no news is good news, and McDavid is fine.
"I have not talked to [head trainer T.D. Forss], but I think he's doing alright," Knoblauch said after practice. "If he wasn't I'm sure I would have gotten an update right away."
