Oilers' Forward Meets UFC Champion With Trump In The Building
EDMONTON -- Everyone loves a good fight.
Recently, that has included Jake Paul going toe-to-toe with Mike Tyson live on Netflix and UFC event 309 last night in New York at Madison Square Garden.
Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane, President-Elect Donald Trump, and Elon Musk attended the event. Judging from the photos published on his Instagram last night, he had a pretty good seat.
Heavyweight champion Jon Jones successfully defended his title against Stipe Miocic with a dominating victory in the third round.
After the fight, Jones met with Trump, who was greeted with tremendous applause at his introduction before the event. Later, Jones met with Kane backstage.

Jones improved to a 28-1-0 record after his knockout of Miocic.
However, Kane is still on the mend after his sports hernia surgery. As Kevin Weekes reported at the end of October, he is not expected to be back playing until early 2025.
The Oilers have had a mixed opening 18 games to the season. However, with a 9-7-2 record, they currently sit in the last Wild Card position in the Western Conference behind the Calgary Flames.
They have started to pick up steam lately, with a 6-3-1 record in their last 10. The Oilers have a back-to-back scheduled for Monday and Tuesday against the Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators.
