Hockey fans absolutely torch Predators' new Stadium Series jerseys
The hockey world has welcomed a few new flashy uniforms of late, from the New Jersey Devils “Jersey” jersey to the American and Canadian olympic threads, stirring up plenty of debate over the quality of the designs.
The Nashville Predators threw their own tarp into the ring on Thursday, going for a bold navy and gold look for their 2022 Stadium Series jerseys, notably featuring “Smash Ville” plastered around the team’s alternate “guitar pick” crest.
🤩
The primary crest pays tribute to the fans with the SMASHVILLE mark, and the look was inspired by letterpress music posters which are part of Nashville's rich history.

According to the Preds’ website, the jersey is partly made with recycled materials via Adidas' Primegreen technology.
Just as it did with the announcement of the Devils' and Team USA’s new threads, the Internet lit up with harsh and hilarious reactions to the uniform release.
These are — and I mean this in the nicest way possible — maybe the worst jerseys in the NHL’s 105-year history. Automatic locks for the top of worst jersey rankings for the rest of time. https://t.co/I2kZqmOglU

without hyperbole this is one of the ugliest pieces of clothing I’ve ever seen. not ugliest jersey. no, ugliest piece of clothing. the worst looking thing someone can put on their body. https://t.co/atilSaYgbC

Nashville Predators: hold my beer— Omar (@TicTacTOmar) December 2, 2021
I think the important thing to remember is that the Stadium Series game is in Nashville, and we're all going to be so completely shit-faced that the Lightning and Predators could skate in Hawaiian shirts and it wouldn't matter.

Some people — a minority judging by the sheer amount of hate these uniforms got on Twitter — seemed to actually like the idea.
