The hockey world has welcomed a few new flashy uniforms of late, from the New Jersey Devils “Jersey” jersey to the American and Canadian olympic threads, stirring up plenty of debate over the quality of the designs.

The Nashville Predators threw their own tarp into the ring on Thursday, going for a bold navy and gold look for their 2022 Stadium Series jerseys, notably featuring “Smash Ville” plastered around the team’s alternate “guitar pick” crest.

According to the Preds’ website, the jersey is partly made with recycled materials via Adidas' Primegreen technology.

Just as it did with the announcement of the Devils' and Team USA’s new threads, the Internet lit up with harsh and hilarious reactions to the uniform release.

Some people — a minority judging by the sheer amount of hate these uniforms got on Twitter — seemed to actually like the idea.

The Predators’ new sweaters will debut when Nashville hosts the Tampa Bay Lightning at Nissan Stadium on Feb. 26 for their Stadium Series showdown.
