One cat in particular has taken that to internet-smashing extremes.
Meet Tetsuro, a Japanese kitty whose sleeping patterns are the talk of social media.
Wakey, wakey!
While most felines curl up in a ball in their basket before shutting their eyes, Tetsuro is a little bit different.
He is so different, in fact, that when he is catching forty winks, he looks just like us humans.

When he is in the land of nod, Tetsuro stretches out his whole body and lies flat on his back, almost like a person trying to sleep off a hangover.
Its bedtime for this kitty.
His peculiar position has captured the imagination of the internet.
Posts by his owner on Twitter featuring the cat on his back have been retweeted thousands of times.
Feline good… It’s another sleep for Tetsuro.
His owner, who goes by the Twitter handle @goma_chips, has posted pictures of him on his bed and on the floor.
Wherever he sleeps, Tetsuro is almost always on his back.
