Juventus ready to swoop for Danso after Kalulu setback
Sky Sport Italia report that RC Lens have put Juventus in pole position to sign Kevin Danso after the Pierre Kalulu injury.
The Bianconeri were forced back onto the transfer market following the injury to Kalulu during last night’s 2-0 defeat to Benfica in the Champions League.
Initial tests show he is expected to be out of action for at least three weeks, although it could be longer.
Already short on options at the back, having lost Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal for six months to torn anterior cruciate ligaments, Juve are seeking low-cost alternatives.
Danso back on Juventus radar
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, they are in talks with French club RC Lens for Danso and put them in pole position to get him on loan.
They had originally not been prepared for a dry loan, as confirmed by Sportitalia, but that seems to have changed.
There is competition from Fenerbahce and Stade Rennais, while he had originally agreed a transfer to Roma in the summer before failing the Lega Serie A medical.
That issue has now been resolved and there was also interest from the Premier League with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
