Yahoo Sports Davis Love III's Georgia home destroyed by fire, family uninjured
The Georgia home of 21-time PGA Tour winner Davis Love III was destroyed by a fire Friday morning. Love and his wife, Robin, were at their St. Simons Island home, but were not injured.
“While everyone in our family is saddened at the loss of our home that was filled with so much laughter and incredible memories, we’re very blessed that everyone is safe and unharmed,” Love, 55, said in a statement (H/T the Golf Channel).

Multiple units responded to the fire at approximately 5:20 a.m. local time, Glynn County Fire Rescue wrote on its Facebook page.
“The structure was fully involved upon arrival and a defensive attack was initiated,” the department wrote. Photos show a ravaged home on the left side with flames taking over the right side of the house. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
“We’re very thankful to the first responders who made a valiant effort to save our home, and we’re keeping things in perspective as people across our community and around the world are struggling with the current unprecedented health crisis,” Love said in his Twitter post.
The Love family is a long-time resident of the area. Per Golf Week, he built the home several years ago on a secluded five-acre lot of marsh frontage with live oaks and palms. The Hall of Famer hosts a RSM Classic pro-am draw party in a tent in his backyard. He’s also hosted weddings and the annual Blue Jean Ball for the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia as a way to raise money for charity.
