The draw for the UEFA Champions League knockout phase play-offs has taken place for the teams who finished between ninth and 24th place during the League Phase. Inter, who came fourth, have directly qualified for the round of 16 and will take to the pitch in March (4-5, 11-12).

The Nerazzurri will face one of the teams that finished in 13th/14th or 19th/20th. The draw determined the following matchups: Feyenoord vs. AC Milan and Juventus vs. PSV. These ties will take place over two legs in February (11-12, 18-19). Once the play-offs have taken place, another draw will be held where one of the two winning teams from these two ties will be paired with Inter (on 21 February).

Inter will therefore face either the winner of the two-legged tie between AC Milan and Feyenoord or the winner of the two-legged tie between Juventus and PSV.

On 21 February, Inter will discover their opponents in the round of 16 (one of the four sides mentioned above), as well as the side of the bracket they'll be on.

More specifically:

- if Inter are drawn with the winner of Feyenoord vs. AC Milan, they would face one of Bayern Munich, Celtic, Atletico Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen should they progress to the quarter-finals;

- if Inter are drawn with the winner of Juventus vs. PSV, they would face one of Manchester City, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen should they progress to the quarter-finals.
