Carlos Gomez says goodnight with Grinch style

This time of year is full of weird and puzzling clothing. There are ugly Christmas sweaters that are now the most popular thing ever. You can find a variety of Santa-inspired outfits in many stores, from dresses to boxer shorts to socks. And there’s the trend of pajama onesies, just like the ones you used to wear when you were a baby. This might be the most wonderful time of the year, but it’s also the one where no one is afraid to wear the weirdest clothing they can find.

But newly re-signed Texas Rangers outfielder Carlos Gomez knows how to make that kind of style work for him. He said goodnight to his Instagram followers on Wednesday while wearing… well, see for yourself.

Time to go to sleep, goodnight everyone ???????????????? #Grinch #AlwaysNaughty Buenas noche hora de dormir hahaha

First off, his living room is impeccable. This man doesn’t just know how to hit dingers, he’s got amazing style. (Maybe he should have his own decorating show!) But second, and most importantly, he is wearing a full body Grinch onesie that says “Always Naughty.” It even has a special Grinch hood! On most people, that look wouldn’t fly. And let’s face it: it doesn’t look much better on him, because how good can someone look wearing a lime green onesie? But Gomez is carrying it off with such swag and confidence that he could wear that to the grocery store and no one would say a word.

If for some reason you’re not familiar with the main character from Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” which is a true classic, here’s something that should help.

Of course, Carlos Gomez isn’t the Grinch. He’s not even a little bit Grinchy. But he made that Grinch onesie work for him. Yup, he’s definitely ready for Christmas. Only 10 more days!
