Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase once again says he’s rooting against the Chiefs

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor and wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase (1) argue with referee John Hussey (35) during an NFL football game against the Kansas City Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, in Kansas City.

Stop the presses, Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase isn’t a fan of the Chiefs.

Yeah, that’s not really big news, but Chase reiterated his dislike for the Chiefs ahead of Sunday’s Pro Bowl.

After the Bengals missed the playoffs following the 2023 season, Chase was asked during an ESPN interview which team he thought would win the Super Bowl. His response: “Anybody but the Chiefs.”

The Bengals missed the playoffs again this past season, and Chase will play in the Pro Bowl. ESPN caught up with Chase in Orlando and asked about Super Bowl LIX.

Star running back Saquon Barkley and the Eagles will face the Chiefs on Feb. 9 at the Superdome in New Orleans.

“Um, everyone knows I’m not a KC fan so I’m hoping Saquon rushes for like 200 this game,” Chase said. “I think overall it’ll be a great game just because both sides has great players on each side.”

Chase’s dislike of the Chiefs was born in their AFC Championship Game matchups in 2022 and 2023. The teams split those games.
