Angelo Stiller could look for a pay rise at VfB Stuttgart
Sport Bild reports that Angelo Stiller could look for a pay rise at VfB Stuttgart after recently switching his agent, which is something that the bosses at the MHP Arena also expect.
Stiller is currently earning €2m a year and since joining Stuttgart in the summer of 2023 has turned himself into one of Stuttgart’s most important players, whilst also earning a call-up to the German national team this season. This has meant he has begun to look for a pay rise after recently changing his management.
However, it is unknown if Stuttgart could afford to offer Stiller the salary that he wishes for. If they can then a contract extension will be rather straight forward. If they cannot, then Stuttgart may look to sell the midfielder who is attracting interest from aboard. The fee that Stuttgart would demand for Stiller would be at least €40m, whose currently contract at the club expires in 2027.
To keep players at the club for longer, Stuttgart have had to insert release clauses into contracts as seen with Enzo Millot, Chris Führich and Jamie Leweling as well as former players Serhou Guirassy, Waldemar Anton and Hiroki Ito. VfB may have to employ this tactic once again if they wish to keep Stiller at the club for the right price.
