Aaron Rodgers after surgery: 'Comeback starts now'

Green Bay Packers quarterback and NFL legend-in-the-making Aaron Rodgers, out for the season with a broken collarbone, has undergone surgery and posted a post-surgical report on Instagram:

Surgery went well. Thanks for all the love, support, thoughts and prayers. #comebackstartsnow #riseagain #

“Surgery went well,” Rodgers wrote. “Thanks for all the love, support, thoughts and prayers. #comebackstartsnow #riseagain #” No idea what that phantom last hashtag was supposed to be, but given the fact that Rodgers wasn’t happy with the bone-breaking hit that Minnesota’s Anthony Barr laid on him, #iwillburythevikingsinanunmarkedgrave isn’t out of the question.

Rodgers is one of the most talented and dynamic quarterbacks in NFL history, and the fact that he’s out for the year makes 2017 that much worse. We’re still not convinced that Rodgers won’t learn to throw with his off hand and lead the Packers to the playoffs anyway, but barring that, we’ll wait till 2018 and see what magic Rodgers will unleash then.
