Denis Istomin falls to Novak Djokovic but not without pulling off two incredible winners

It is never a good thing when you see the name "Novak Djokovic" lined up next to yours in a Grand Slam, especially if that Grand Slam is the Australian Open.

Djokovic has won this even the last three years and he extended his match winning streak in Melbourne to 24, meaning he might be the hottest thing at the Australian Open besides the weather.

The win was a good one for the No. 2 ranked player in the field, but his opponent, Denis Istomin, hit some fabulous winners during the fifth game of the third set to get the night crowd going and add a little spice to his straight set loss.

The first shot came up 15-0 on his own serve, with Istomin running down what looked like a winner from Djokovic and smashing a nice cross-court forehand for the crowd pleasing point.

The game winner was even better, with Istomin hitting one of those "how is this angle even possible" backhands that ended with an ovation from the crowd and the 27-year-old stretching his arms out to embrace the support inside Rod Laver Arena.

It wasn't the upset that Istomin had hoped to pull off, but for a moment in that third set he hit two of the best shots of the entire tournament and got the crowd on his side before Djokovic finally finished him off.
