Felipe Melo saves late penalty after Galatasaray keeper sent off

The scapegoat for Brazil after scoring an own goal in the 2010 World Cup, Felipe Melo has had his issues as a midfielder, but he may have found his true calling as a goalkeeper for Galatasaray after stepping up to save a vital late penalty. Galatasaray's actual goalkeeper, Fernando Muslera, gave up a penalty and was sent off in the 89th minute of Saturday's match against Elazigspor with Galatasaray up 1-0.

Melo then put on the goalkeeper's gloves to fill in at the all-important moment and made a diving two-handed save to retain his side's lead. He then celebrated by crawling around on all fours and doing his pitbull celebration (which is even in FIFA 13, by the way).

By saving that win, Felipe Melo keeps Galatasaray just one point behind Turkish Super Lig leaders Antalyaspor. And maybe now he'll get a call back into the Brazil squad in a new position.
