David Beckham offered lucrative contract by Norwegian 8th division side

If you were within earshot of the deafening sound of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's feathers getting ruffled yesterday, you will know David Beckham has signed for Paris Saint-Germain, choosing to donate weekly wages (believed to be around $240,000) to charity.

In his PSG press conference, the player now known as Davide de la Bêquam revealed that he had received countless contract offers from clubs around the world, but believed the Parisians to be the most exciting project he could help sell shirts for participate in.

Clearly, he missed the generous offer from Norwegian side Ørn Kristiania. The Oslo-based outfit, who play in the eighth tier of Norwegian football, sent the following contract proposition to the 37-year-old's management team:

If Beckham had chosen Ørn, the Parisian children's charity that is about to get a Qatari benefactor would miss out, but an offer of a sportsbag, buttons (!), a non-Jeremy-Menez-occupied number 7 shirt and a low membership charge of just 2,500 Norwegian Krone ($460) must have been sorely tempting.

If they had delivered the same letter to Peter Odemwingie before his long drive back to West Bromwich, he almost certainly would have accepted.
