Daily Dime: Jon Lester, Bryce Harper, various other Cubs and Nats

As always when playing Yahoo Daily Fantasy Baseball, be sure to check the final lineups and the weather. Let's set a winning lineup...

Jon Lester, P, $48 – Scanning the Monday schedule, Lester might just be the pitcher most likely to earn a win. He's facing Cincinnati in the Cubs' home opener, and he was excellent in his first start at Arizona: 7.0 IP, 4 H, R, 0 BB, 4 Ks. Yes, please.

Aaron Nola, P, $41 – OK, sure, Nola's bullpen terrifies us all, but his Monday opponent should not (San Diego, Cashner). Nola was tremendous in last week's start at Cincinnati: 7.0 IP, 4 H, R, 0 BB, 8 Ks.

David Ross, C, $7 – Punting the position with Lester's caddie, basically. Any member of the Cubs lineup has a chance to score. Ross has crossed the plate twice in his two games.

Hanley Ramirez, 1B, $13 – Hanley was a multi-hit machine to open the season, and he's had no trouble with O's starter Yovani Gallardo over the years (4-for-13, an almost meaningless sample).

Daniel Murphy, 2B, $15

– Murphy is one of two left-handed batters I'm deploying against Bud Norris. Over the years, LHBs have slashed .273/.355/.456 vs. Bud (.899 OPS last year). Murphy has been scorching-hot to open the season, with three multi-hit games.

Nick Castellanos, 3B, $12 – He's off to a strong start (5-for-13) and facing a sketchy left-hander on Monday (Jonathon Niese). Castellanos' career OPS against lefties is .793 and .682 vs. RHPs.

Alcides Escobar, SS, $11 – Everyone saw the stat line delivered by Collin McHugh in his first start, right? Well, it wasn't good. McHugh's ERA is currently 135.00. Give me at least one Royals hitter in this one.

Bryce Harper, OF, $24 – With all due respect to Trevor Story, Harper is still pretty much the best hitter on the planet. Also, he's facing Norris. See above.

Dexter Fowler, OF, $18 – Whenever Fowler is batting from the right side, you want him. His career slash against left-handers is .305/.394/.440. He'll get LHP Brandon Finnegan on Monday night.

Nori Aoki, OF, $10 – Seattle's leadoff hitter is priced to move, and he gets a low degree of difficulty match-up against right-hander Colby Lewis.
