After booking their place in the CONCACAF Champions League final on Tuesday, the Impact return to MLS play on Saturday for the first time since late March. Later on, the Whitecaps will try to extend their unbeaten streak to six games while Toronto FC is off this weekend.

Here are three key storylines for Canada's MLS teams heading into Week 6 action.

SATURDAY, APRIL 11:

Montreal Impact (0-1-2, 2 PTS) at Houston Dynamo (1-2-2, 5 PTS), 8:30 p.m. ET

1. Back to regular business

The CCL has kept them busy, but the Impact have played just three MLS games since the season kicked off over a month ago. Montreal returns to action with a visit to Houston on Saturday, where they'll try to notch regular season win No. 1 and their first road victory since Sept. 2013.

2. Jack Mac attack

If they're going to walk away with three points, Jack McInerney is going to have to make his presence felt up front. McInerney has netted a goal in his last two games and the Impact are going to lean on him even more to be a consistent scoring threat with Cameron Porter sidelined for the season.

3. Know your enemy

Much like Montreal, the Dynamo went through a number of changes in the offseason after missing the playoffs. Former Bolton boss Owen Coyle is now in charge and has brought in new players to revitalize the squad. One of Coyle's signings, former Espanyol centre back Raul Rodriguez, is likely to miss Saturday's game due to a head injury he sustained against Seattle.

Vancouver Whitecaps (4-1-1, 13 PTS) at San Jose Earthquakes (2-3-0, 6 PTS), 10:30 p.m. ET

1. Unbeaten streak

Vancouver's winning streak was snapped after a 2-2 draw with Columbus on Wednesday but they managed to salvage a point from the game and are unbeaten in their last five games. The Earthquakes enter Saturday's contest having dropped two straight.

2. Resting Morales

Pedro Morales has played all but a few minutes of the Whitecaps' season. Coming off another 90-minute outing on Wednesday, a road game against San Jose sets up as an opportune time to give him a night off. Nicolas Mezquida is the favourite to take Morales' habitual spot as the creator at the top of midfield should Carl Robinson decide to rest his captain.

3. More Mattocks?

Handed his first start of 2015, Darren Mattocks impressed on the wing against Columbus. He was dynamic going forward, scoring a goal and creating a number of other chances. Though the Whitecaps are deep up front, and earlier this week they added 22-year-old Uruguayan winger Cristian Techera on a season-long loan, Mattocks' performance mid-week has earned him another look in the starting 11.
