KHL’s Mikhail Pashnin lays out Jan Mursak, gets KO’d in response (Video)

On Friday, Amur and Lokomotiv needed a shootout to decide a scoreless game. Jakub Petruzalek put home the deciding goal in the skills competition to give Amur the 1-0 win. Despite the lack of scoring, there were two moments that delivered some fireworks to the game.

In the second period, as he was carrying the puck up ice, Jan Mursak -- formerly of the Detroit Red Wings organization -- was met by Lokomotiv defenseman Mikhail Pashnin with a hard hit. Answering for his actions, Pashnin then dropped the gloves with Mikhail Fisenko. Moments later, he would be the one getting dropped:

For the hit, Pashnin was given a five minute major and a game misconduct, along with five for fighting. Mursak did not return to the game either.
