Anthony Davis’ unibrow speaks, stars in cell phone commercial (Video)

This time last year, Anthony Davis' unibrow became an object of national attention, a distinguishing characteristic so popular that even the Kentucky star's own mom wore a Mardi Gras-style unibrow mask while watching her son play. I mean, the president of the United States felt compelled to comment on it when he met Davis during a Team USA exhibition prior to the 2012 Summer Olympics. That's how you know it's a big deal.

After winning a national title at Kentucky, Davis even went so far as to trademark the 'brow before becoming the No. 1 pick in the 2012 NBA draft, inviting questions as to how companies that sign Davis to endorsement deals, like Nike, might incorporate his signature look into ad campaigns. Commercials featuring Davis earlier in his rookie season with the New Orleans Hornets, like this NBA on ESPN spot or this Red Bull mini-movie, haven't really focused on the rook's forehead caterpillar.

Now, though, Boost Mobile's putting it front and center ... and giving it a speaking part.

Yeah, I don't think this is going to make me buy a new phone or download a new app, but it definitely makes me "Fear the 'Brow." So if bringing that old chestnut back around was part of the point of the promo, then, y'know, mission accomplished. Yeesh.
