Winnipeg Jets need to wave the white flag
When Paul Maurice stepped down as Jets head coach, that should've rang the reckoning bells in Winnipeg, and whilst the team would do well to hold on to Kyle Connor and Nikolaj Ehlers, it's time give up the current Stanley Cup chase and rebuild.

JULIAN MCKENZIE: Jets.
JUSTIN CUTHBERT: I'll take on the Jets. They got to wave the white flag and tear this thing down.
JULIAN MCKENZIE: Yeah.
JUSTIN CUTHBERT: They're done.
OMAR: You think? Like a full--
JUSTIN CUTHBERT: They're done.
OMAR: Or like a full or a retool?
JUSTIN CUTHBERT: Maybe keep Ehlers and Connor and that's it.
JULIAN MCKENZIE: That's exactly who I was thinking of.
OMAR: Yeah.
JULIAN MCKENZIE: I think you can only really keep those two players.
JUSTIN CUTHBERT: They're-- they're toast. If they couldn't win this year, like they just don't have any-- that's not going to work. It's not going to work.
OMAR: Yeah. How many years [INAUDIBLE]
[INTERPOSING VOICES]

[INTERPOSING VOICES]
JUSTIN CUTHBERT: That should have been the telling-- that should have been the--

JUSTIN CUTHBERT: Yeah.
[INTERPOSING VOICES]
JUSTIN CUTHBERT: He knew where this was going.
OMAR: Jeez, man, but that would be tough.
JUSTIN CUTHBERT: We thought goodness of his heart. What a guy. No.
JULIAN MCKENZIE: [LAUGHS]
OMAR: He's like--
JULIAN MCKENZIE: You remember that, when everyone was all like, man, what a guy. Man, he left town on his own terms. What a really good guy to listen to at that presser. Everyone was just like singing his praises throughout all of that. No, this dude said, I'm out.
JUSTIN CUTHBERT: 18 wheeler.
OMAR: Blake Wheeler has two more years at $8.25. And he's 35 with a full no movement.
JULIAN MCKENZIE: At $8 million?
SAM CHANG: Paul Stastny's probably just going to get up and join a convoy instead.
OMAR: Who did that [INAUDIBLE]?
JULIAN MCKENZIE: Whoa! No.
JUSTIN CUTHBERT: Speaking of 18 wheelers.
SAM CHANG: [LAUGHS]
JULIAN MCKENZIE: No, behave, no, no, OK, no.
