Video Transcript

Hello, everybody.

We are here at Lucas Oil.

It is day eight finals.

We have one more day to go.

Oh my gosh.

And amazing night tonight, this stadium is packed full of people.

We had some really fun finals tonight.

We're excited to talk to you guys about it.

We kicked off the night with the men's 100 Fly and we saw two already Paris Olympians get another event on their schedule.

So Caleb Dressel one in Caleb Dressel fashion.

He looks so strong, so powerful defending champion in this event.

So I think he's really excited to be able to swim it again this summer.

And then Thomas Haman, this 17 year old qualified in the 200 butterfly and he just qualified again behind Caleb broke the national age group record in the process.

And as Caleb said in his post race interview, the future of us men's Hunter Fly is an incredibly good hands with Thomas.

I would definitely agree.

And then we moved on to the women's turn.

I am, which is one of my favorites.

We watched Kate Douglas at a third individual event to her roster for Paris.

And then Alex Wal got on the team.

So exciting to be joining her sister Gretchen.

I mean to be able to see her make the team without Gretchen.

And now the two of them are Paris Olympians, so, so special and it's going to be a tight race.

So Kate Douglas was just too tense off of what Kaitlin mcewen did at the Australian trials two weeks ago.

So it's going to be a tight race for gold and that time was so fast there.

So prior to her swim tonight, five women ever to break 206 and the 200 Im and Kate added her name to that very prestigious list tonight and so fast, so fast.

And then we finished the night with the women's 800 freestyle.

Another event I am very accustomed to.

So we had, of course Katie Ledecky with a hard charge at the end but crushing the field with an 814 and then we had Paige Madden again who already made it in the relay as well as the foreign freestyle.

So those two are going to be going to Paris defending our honor.

It was awesome.

It was incredible.

We are so excited.

We have two more finals tomorrow night coming up.

But for right now, that is a wrap on day eight, this Olympic team is really starting to come together and everyone will be officially announced tomorrow night.

So definitely make sure you guys are tuning in because that's going to be very special.
