Surfers demand 'no more poo' pumped into UK waters

STORY: Protestors held signs saying "No more poo", "fishes not faeces" and "hands off our water".

Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) organised the demonstration which was led by swimmers, kayakers and paddlers.

Campaigns manager Izzy Ross said that they had seen, over the last year, "720 or more sickness case studies where people have got sick when they've gone in the sea from this sewage pollution."

The protesters have taken to the water at 12 bathing spots around the UK to demand an end to the sewage discharges.
