Sheldon Keefe, Kyle Dubas never shy to share their feelings

Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe is one of the most vocal NHL bench bosses, particularly when it comes to communicating with officials, while Toronto's general manager Kyle Dubas has also let his guard down on occasion this season.

- Don't you love it when people get mad during hockey? It's funny. It's hilarious sometimes, right? But I think when it comes down to the I'm Pleasantly Pissed Off Award, which I'm handing out, I'm not actually going to give it to a player.

I'm going to share it between two people-- Sheldon Keefe and Kyle Dubas, more so Keefe because every time Keefe has gone off on the bench has been awesome. Like when the refs mess up and call something that should not be called or miss on a-- miss a play, the camera knows where to go.

They go right to Sheldon Keefe, and you can see every single thing that he's seeing. There are F bombs. There are, what are you doing? There is, oh my gosh. This is a joke. I can't believe this is happening. And even sometimes he gets mad at his own team.

The Leafs still take a lot of too-many-men penalties for some reason, and Sheldon Keefe has the same reaction. He looks, and he stares, just shakes his head. Sometimes he does one of these. This is a person just, like, not afraid to show that they're angry.

Kyle Dubas kind of had that a little bit as well. There are moments where the camera will kind of pan up to the front office up above the stand, and you'll see, you know, Dubas kind of rolling his hands or throwing his hands up, saying, what the heck was that? You know, there's-- sometimes there's some swear words there.

But also, I'm going to look at the trade deadline a little bit because I don't think Dubas was mad at the deadline. But he took that anger, that frustration, possibly, of all the years of the playoff exits and channeled that into an active deadline, one of the most active Leafs deadlines I can remember in a long time. Ryan O'Reilly, Noel Acciari, Sam Lafferty. Oh my gosh, like, like, Jake McCabe.

Like, Kyle Dubas cooked and went off in the trade deadline. And I'd like to think that he took a little bit of that anger and channeled it there. So I'm going to give the I'm Pleasantly Pissed Award to those two, the head coach and our general manager.
