GARDNER MINSHEW: Did not contract the virus. It took one look at me, ran the other way. It was probably in its best interests.

So here we are. We're back on Tuesday, ready to roll. Excited to go play some football.

JARED QUAY: That was Jaguars quarterback, Gardner Minshew, explaining how he didn't catch COVID-19 in about the most Chuck Norris way possible.

- I'm Chuck Norris, and I approve this message.

JARED QUAY: Then there's Lions quarterback, Matthew Stafford, who tested positive for COVID, but then found out it was a false positive. So he didn't have it at all. You know what kind of heartache you could have when you think you got COVID, and then you find out you don't got COVID, and you done told everybody at work. Now, nobody want to answer your phone calls.

You can't catch COVID through the phone. The Lions moved their quarterback from COVID IR to the active roster. However, Stafford's wife was upset that the Lions made his status public without making sure the positive test was, in fact, positive.

- Smooth move, Ex-Lax.

JARED QUAY: All-in-all, it looks like everyone's healthy. But it seems like the league still got a long way to go in ensuring everyone's healthy-- baby steps, I guess. Speaking of inconclusive tests, the Miami Marlins had their first game since July 26 delayed for over an hour.

- But, really, who's counting?

JARED QUAY: They were waiting for several conformation tests for some of their players. Remember, this is the Marlins team that got hit hard by the Rona. Eventually, the tests came back negative. And the game started an hour later in Baltimore. That actually sounds on par for 2020.

2020, weird, this Marlins weird. But this next one is a new one. Yesterday's game between the Twins and the Pirates was delayed in the fifth inning, not for testing, not for rain, not for cats running around on the field, no, no, no. It got delayed for drones. You weird, 2020.

I got nothing. Speaking of winning, chicken wing enthusiast, Lou Williams, cleared his 10-day quarantine and made his return to the Clippers against the Suns. He finished with 7 points in 21 minutes. But he couldn't help the Clippers overcome Devin Booker.

- Six to play. Booker, this is for the win, got it! Wow!

JARED QUAY: But that's got nothing on the earlier game yesterday between the Nets and the Bucks. Because if you took the Nets' moneyline, hoo, hoo, you made a nice chunk of change. But you also crazy. Why you do that?

Brooklyn entered the game as an 18 and a 1/2-point underdog and somehow won. That's the biggest NBA upset in 27 years. And if those two NBA stories don't do it for you, Luka Doncic became the first Mavs player and the youngest player ever to record a 30-point, 20-rebound, 10-assist triple-double.

- And Luka fouled in the act!

JARED QUAY: But there got to be an asterisk next to it because he did it against the Kings. Look, everybody get rebounds against the Kings, man, I swear. Luke Walton got 28 rebounds against the Kings one time.
