- A lot of crazy interactions between like fans and players. Like I saw the video of Nurkic going up to that fan and taking his phone and throwing it, right?

CHRIS BOUCHER: Yeah. He said something about his grandma, though.

- Yeah.

CHRIS BOUCHER: His grandma died of COVID.

- Which is crazy, right?

CHRIS BOUCHER: Yeah.

- In those kind of situations has this always been happening? Do you find it's been happening more or is it just because we have a bunch of cameras now on phones?

THADDEUS YOUNG: I mean, it's always been happening and I think that it's accelerated because of like we have cameras and phones and stuff. Like social media is like obviously like out putting it a little bit more, but you know, like these things have always been happening. And for me personally, I try not to let it bother me, but when you start to like say crazy stuff like that. Like my wife just got like she's just seen a tweet not long ago, somebody said because they-- I guess they didn't parlay on their bets or whatever, but they were going to kill my family.

CHRIS BOUCHER: Whoa.

THADDEUS YOUNG: Like stuff like that. Like, and that's crazy and so she texts-- so she sends a tweet back and said, I hope you're ready to meet your maker.

[LAUGHTER]

CHRIS BOUCHER: Oh, real one.

THADDEUS YOUNG: Yeah, she-- Yeah, she ain't going for that.

CHRIS BOUCHER: Exposed.

THADDEUS YOUNG: She's an OG just like me, so.

CHRIS BOUCHER: Yeah, don't come for Thadd's family. I'll tell you right now.

THADDEUS YOUNG: So, but you know, those type of things are uncalled for, you know what I'm saying? So you know, these things happen y'all, but like I wish that like fans would just come to the game, enjoy the game, you know? And you can say things, you can heckle and stuff like that, but enjoy the game. Come watch the game, have your fun, get entertained by us as athletes, and then go home and say like, oh, that was a really good game. You know what I'm saying? Not oh, almost got in the fight with Nurkic. I almost got in the fight with Thadd. Almost got a fight with CB so those type of things.

CHRIS BOUCHER: I think the bet things made that happen, you know? People are betting so much money and like you know, $5,000 on I hope he gets 5 rebounds and then I get 4, and now you're blowing my phone. Like excuse me I didn't get that last one. I didn't even know you were betting on me.

THADDEUS YOUNG: Exactly.

- And they made these crazy bets. I hope they win by 12.

CHRIS BOUCHER: How you know that?

- And then somebody makes a layup in the last second and it's a 10 and they lose everything.

THADDEUS YOUNG: I've done it a couple of times.

CHRIS BOUCHER: Me too.

THADDEUS YOUNG: During the season like make the layup and they go crazy. Like start blowing social media up like killing me on social media. I'm like, we won the game.

CHRIS BOUCHER: I think what they need to know is like for example, if you bet for us to win by 10, and let's say somebody plays in garbage minute, he's trying to get his money too. So if he's trying to score and they mess up your parlay, he's trying to get his too. Like I just don't get how you not seeing that that way and you're thinking about your bet. That's first of all--

- That's why I always say there is no such thing as garbage minutes because it's opportunity for those guys who are on the bench, right?

CHRIS BOUCHER: 100%.

THADDEUS YOUNG: Yeah, but you know betting is a risky situation and if you're willing to take that risk then you know, accept that. You accept that you took the risk and you lost. It is what it is.

CHRIS BOUCHER: 100%.

THADDEUS YOUNG: You know, but people are not sometimes willing to accept that because they feel like, you know, like we're tricking games off and we're blowing games and stuff like that.

- Ever have any problems with anyone in media?

CHRIS BOUCHER: Me? Me, yeah, but you know, he's coming on the show next and we'll talk about it.

[LAUGHTER]

THADDEUS YOUNG: No, I don't really have any problems with anybody in media. I try not to let that type of stuff bother me.
