Police search for gunman who injured 7 people in Turlock

Seven people were injured in a shooting outside of a bar in Turlock early Saturday morning, police said. Authorities are now searching for the gunman. An officer in the downtown area heard gunshots around 2 a.m., the Turlock Police Department said in a release. Police received several calls of a shooting and reports of several people being shot outside a local bar in the 100 block of South First Street. The shooting happened as people were leaving the bar, police said. There was a fight inside the bar earlier in the evening, which investigators say may be connected. Police do not believe the shooting was a random act of violence. "Evidence located at the scene suggests the shooter targeted one individual within the crowd and without regard for the others fired also hitting six bystanders," police said. Officers found multiple gunshot victims. Seven people were taken to the hospital and suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to authorities. It is unclear if those that were injured are still in the hospital.
