Parisians Take to Balconies to Applaud Health Care Workers

Paris residents took to their balconies on March 17 to applaud health care workers on the front lines of France’s COVID-19 crisis.

“We clapped for all the health care workers in France for doing a fantastic job and keeping the sick safe! Thank you, you are my everyday humanitarians and heroes,” Helen, who posted this video to Twitter from her home in the 11th arrondissement, said.

The tribute echoed scenes witnessed in other European countries, including Italy and Spain, in recent days.
