North Carolina takes down defending champions Baylor in overtime

KJ SMITH: What's up, everybody. It's KJ Smith, former Tar Heel, here with Yahoo Sports. And we had an overtime thriller. We got the UNC Tar Heels beating the Baylor Bears after a 25-point comeback in the second half. RJ Davis led UNC with 30 points, playing 45 minutes in that game. Brady Manek was ejected with 26 points, and there was 10 minutes left into the game.

UNC thought they had it in the bag. Baylor battled back and sent it into overtime. The defending champs were led by Adam Flagler, who had 24 points in the second half, but it just wasn't enough to beat the Tar Heels. The real story of the game is Hubert Davis in his first year, taking the UNC Tar Heels to the Sweet 16. And I'm a guy who played for Coach Davis so I just want to sound off on this.

He is an extreme motivator. We would come into halftime, and he's the one in the locker room that would be yelling at us, getting us motivated to come out in the second half. And this is showing now because they were up by 25. And for him to handle pressure in this late game situation, substitution, making play calls, great job to Coach Davis and the UNC Tar Heels.
