Who will be the next Vancouver Canucks captain?

SAM CHANG: But wait, before we end, tell me who you think is going to be the next Canucks captain.

OMAR: They're not there. They're not there. I don't--

JULIAN MCKENZIE: Yeah, I think they go no captain for a while. There's no way. Because they name someone captain, like who?

OMAR: If they named JT co-captain--

JULIAN MCKENZIE: Are you comfortable giving the highest person the C?

OMAR: If, yo, hold on.

SAM CHANG: I mean, that's who they should give it to. I think they may give it to Luke Schenn.

JULIAN MCKENZIE: No, no. Not Luke Schenn. Luke Schenn is going to get traded by the deadline.

OMAR: Yeah.

JULIAN MCKENZIE: There's no way.

OMAR: JT Miller.

JULIAN MCKENZIE: Darryl Sutter loves Luke Schenn, for what it's worth.

OMAR: JT Miller is the longest signed.

JULIAN MCKENZIE: Oh, no. No. No.

OMAR: And again, he has a no move.

JULIAN MCKENZIE: No move.

OMAR: And you know, we all like that longevity when it comes to players wearing the C, right? I mean, it's either that or Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

SAM CHANG: Regardless of who it is, I want to say like Bo Horvat was handpicked, hand-trained by the Sedins in the last years of their career. He has been an exceptional captain. I know the bar is on the floor or whatever. He's done as good of a job, I think, as you could expect from any hockey player in terms of the social justice issues in the bubble. He was one of the people who organized the players walking out. He answers every question that reporters here ask him, and I think the Islanders are going to be very lucky to have someone like Bo Horvat.
