- The number 7 seed in the West region, Northwestern, advances to the round of 32 in the NCAA tournament for the second time in school history, as they defeated number 10 Boise State, 75-67. The Wildcats were led by the phenomenal backcourt duo of Boo Buie and Chase Audige. Buie led all players with 22 points and added 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the win. Audige finished with 20 points, and was everywhere on defense, forcing four steals.

Northwestern extended their lead to 10 points with under three minutes left, leaving the Broncos scrambling and trying to claw their way back into the game. Even with full court pressure and double team traps, Northwestern made the right plays down the stretch and only committed seven turnovers in the game. The Wildcats advance for the first time since 2017, and the second time in school history as they try to keep dancing through the West region.
