Maple Leafs fans starting to believe... again

The Maple Leafs appear to have a legitimate shot at securing top spot in the Atlantic division and despite being here before, the teams play in recent games is giving fans reason to believe that their passion may finally bear fruit in the postseason.

- The Leafs' passion has gone through the roof. Michael Bunting's had a lot of it with his big goal then making fun of Sean Durzi. Sheldon Keefe had that hilarious smile after the coach's challenge went well. But I think what we're seeing amongst a lot of Leafs fans is that the passion that we have growing more into belief.

Now, I know, stop me. I know, I know, you're saying, oh, well, we always have belief. We have belief every year. Last year, you had the belief. Man, I remember last year, I want to say it was like the end of December, I tweeted saying like, yeah, I'm all in. I'm all invested on this team. And then we all know what happened.

But there are a lot of Leafs fans who are really on board with what's been going on with this team. Even fans that were really pessimistic at the beginning of this season, who were pessimistic last season, who thought like, oh, the regular season doesn't matter, this team will never win anything, even those fans are jumping on board and saying the same thing.

And the fact that this team is different-- again, another thing that I've said before. But there's just something about the way that they play, how steady they look, the goaltending's has been great. The top four is scoring a lot. The bottom six can contribute here. We've had injury after injury after injury on the blue line, but we're still able to win games.

I don't know. I don't know. Maybe this is a clip that we look back at in like April or May and say, oh, my god, that was so dumb. But if you're Leafs passion has transformed into belief, roll with it, embrace it because from what we've seen from the Leafs this season, I think it makes a lot of sense.
