Maple Leafs fans confident ahead of Game 1

Toronto fans are predicting that the Maple Leafs will win their first-round matchup with the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games and come out the right side of a Stanley Cup Playoffs series for the first time since 2004.

OMAR: I remember, last year, during game one, where the game one was going nuts, and Leach was scoring all their goals, and David Kampf scored that goal on Andrei Vasilevskiy. And I [? selled ?] it so hard that I broke my Stanley Cup, and I saw that. And I was like, oh, bad omen, that's not a good sign.

Now, I'm not saying that I'm responsible for the Leafs losing the series. Don't blame me, please. I've been blamed for-- I've been blamed enough for things. The Jimmy Vesey thing is so funny, but I don't know. That happened. I was like, ah, that sucks.

And then, about a week ago, I had a little, mini Stanley Cup, and I knocked it. It fell on the ground, but it didn't, like, fall over. It actually landed, like, perfectly, and I thought about it. I was like, huh, maybe that's a good sign. Maybe that's-- I don't know. --a message, whatever to prove the confidence that I and a lot of these fans have in this team.

I asked Leafs Nation, hey, what do you-- if the Leafs do pull it off, how many games do you think it's going to be? And the grand consensus seems like it's going to be six games. Leafs in six is what a lot of people are saying. Leafs in six is what I believe as well. I hope it's that.

Five would be cool. Four is aggressive, and I don't want it to be seven. That's for sure. There have been so many times, where the Leafs have had an opportunity to close out the series in six games, and they lose that game six. And then it goes to game seven, and then anything takes place.

Andre Vasilevskiy decides to go turn to a brick wall. They end up not being able to score, officiating gets in the way. I don't know. I know a lot of people would like it for the story if the Leafs finish in seven games, but I don't think so. I actually think they win this one. I think they beat the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games.
