Mad Bets: Will the Titans cover -2 vs. Colts?

Minty Bets, Jared Quay & Matt Gothard give their picks for the Colts-Titans game on Thursday Night.

Video Transcript

MINTY BETS: Week 10 of the NFL kicks off with Thursday Night Football, as the Tennessee Titans host the Indianapolis Colts. The Titans laying 2 points at home here. And the total is set at 48 and 1/2. Jared, what is your pick for this Thursday night game?

JARED QUAY: Ah, man, you never know in AFC South. These games always come close. But you've got to go Titans here. The Colts have played a lot better. They're 5 and 3 this year.

But think about the games they won, not necessarily good teams. They beat the Vikings early on. They beat the Jets. They beat the Bears, who are still a suspect on. They beat the Bengals and the Lions.

But when they played good teams, they lose. They lost to the running quarterback with the Ravens. They've lost to the Browns. And they lost to the Jaguars. I was just joking.

They didn't just lose to good teams. I think the Titans are a much better team here. And I think the X factor is not going to be Derrick Henry running the ball because they do do a good job of stopping the run, it's going to be Ryan Tannehill running the ball.

He's a great quarterback here. I love him at home. Give me them minus 3-- minus 2, because they're going to win by 3.

MINTY BETS: Oh. Oh. Gotcha. OK.

JARED QUAY: [LAUGHS]

MINTY BETS: Matt, what is your pick for this game?

MATTY_GENIUS: I feel very, very not confident about this pick. So I'm just going to say that before I say I'm taking the Colts plus 2 in this game because I want the points and I want the better defense. I do think the Colts have a better defense in this one. Primetime dogs on Thursday Night Football also doing pretty well. So, eh, give me Indianapolis.

MINTY BETS: Yeah, I feel the same way. I'm not too confident. But I have to take the better defense here. The Colts' defense is the real deal. And we saw that against the Ravens last week.

They are allowing the least amount of yards per carry at 3.2 yards per carry. And they're pretty good at their passing defense as well. The Titans are 1 and 3 straight up and against the spread against the Colts their last four games. So give me the Colts plus the points.
