Matt Gothard and Jared Quay give their best bets for Week 13 of the 2020 college football season.

MATT GOTHARD: Week 13 of the college football season is here and we are just happy to be here. I mean, b didn't know the season was going to last this long. So let's keep going. Jared, what is your best bet for Thanksgiving week in the college football world?

JARED QUAY: Oh, man. Last week was a gift. I told you to pick Northwestern plus 7 and 1/2 against Wisconsin. They won outright. And why not go back to a good thing?

I'm taking Northwestern to beat Michigan State's butt. I think they're gonna win by more than 11, what the current spread is. I just think this Michigan State team just badly need to bag the season up. They are starting a new quarterback, and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. But they cannot move the ball, and that's not really a good thing to do when you're facing one of the best defenses in the Big Ten.

Meanwhile, Peyton Ramsey looked good last week. He's been throwing some great balls. I just think Northwestern gets this thing cooking.

They usually upset Michigan State. It's a good team. But now that Michigan State's a bad team, this might be a blowout. So I'm taking Northwestern minus 11.

MATT GOTHARD: Yeah, as a [INAUDIBLE] fan, I was happy last week when the game was canceled. So I can't argue with your pick, Jared.

Speaking of going with something that's been working, Ohio State first halves this year-- I know I sound like a broken record-- have been very, very good to me. They should have beat Indiana by a lot last week. Took their foot off the gas pedal, but this week they're going up against Illinois.

And Illinois is losing first halves by an average of 19 points per game when they're losing. And they are not gonna win this one. So Ohio State in the first half. I like that number at 17, but really, anything under 20. I think Ohio State is going to blow the doors off of Illinois in this game, and it's really hard to see it going any other way.
