Brent and Strange is my pick for this segment here, the Jacksonville Jaguar's tight end.
If you are like me and you've made it to your fantasy semifinals, while really never having figured out the tight end position, I think this guy is, is a great addition here off the waiver wire.
Last week, the Jacksonville Jaguars since they came off the bay have rightly been prioritizing, uh, Bryant Thomas Jr. as the focal point of the offense.
He had 14 targets, but right Behind him was Brendon Strange with 12 targets, 11 catches, 73 yards.
He basically just took Evan Ingram's role.
Like sometimes we, we say this in fantasy like, oh, he's this guy's gonna assume ex-player's role or whatever, and that's not a real thing.
It appears in Jacksonville, maybe that is a real thing.
I mean, Doug Peterson's offenses have always revolved around a safety net at the tight end position, going back to his Philadelphia days.
That's what.
Evan Ingraham, like they specifically targeted him for this role here.
Brent Strange actually spent a high priority draft pick even though he had very similar kind of overlapping skills to Evan Ingraham.
Well, now that Ingram's out of the mix, it looks like Strange is going to be a guy that's gonna collect a ton of targets in the underneath area while Brian Thomas Jr. again remains that more downfield focal point in the passing game.
So if you're just pure reception hunting against a rough Raiders defense this week, I think Brentton Strange might be your answer at the tight end position.
