ANDY BEHRENS: So I'm taking a little bit of heat for having Lamar Jackson currently ranked as my overall QB1 for 2021. My first reaction to this is, how dare you question me? I'm an accredited Fantasy expert, after all.

My second reaction to this is, he just did this a couple seasons ago. He did this in 2019. In fact, that season, he actually said to be per game scoring record for quarterbacks. He was a monster.

Remember all the 30 point weeks? That Lamar Jackson really happened. That was just a couple of years ago. We're still talking about a young, ascending quarterback.

He's rushed for over 1,000 yards in back to back seasons. Quarterbacks don't do that. He has a rushing floor unlike anyone else in the league, and that gives him an incredible Fantasy safety net, a very safe player week to week, snuck into the top 10 of the quarterback position last year without even having a particularly great year.

And now we look at his receiving record. Look what the Ravens have built around him. They add Rashod Bateman. He's pretty great-- a couple of years ago at Minnesota, 20 yards per catch, 11 touchdowns, great separator, great speed.

They add Sammy Watkins. Whatever you think of him, he remains an elite downfield threat with scary speed himself. They've still got Hollywood Brown. They've still got Mark Andrews. These are developing players, too.

This is a great recipe for passing success. Would not be at all surprising if Lamar, again, throws for over 30 touchdown passes and, again, delivers elite rushing totals. We haven't even really seen a blow up season from him in terms of rushing touchdowns. That's still out there. Yes, I think Lamar Jackson deserves attention as the QB1 overall in 2021.
