Family seeks to inspire others to become organ donors

A 10-year-old Maryland girl who is beating the odds thanks to a heart transplant is encouraging others to give the gift of life. When Josh and Joanna Billigmeier adopted their daughter, Paisley, they didn't know how much time they'd have with her. Paisley is one of four children that the Billigmeiers adopted from China. Three of the four have heart conditions, but Paisley's was the most severe. The Billigmeiers met her when she was a toddler. Once the Billigmeier's adopted Paisley, she came home to Maryland, where she underwent several procedures and took several medications before she got the heart transplant that saved her life.
