How does Kyren Williams' injury affect his fantasy value?

Yahoo Fantasy analyst Matt Harmon examines the Rams backfield after the third-year running back suffered a foot injury and the team added Michigan RB Blake Corum in the 2024 NFL draft.

News out of Rams camp this week that Kyron Williams is gonna miss some time this off season with quote, a foot issue forces us at least in my opinion to re examine our priors on the Rams backfield.

You look at this group, Kyron Williams, Blake Corum pretty fascinating because we know there's a lot of upside in this backfield.

We know that whoever touches the ball here, a majority of the time based on what Kyron Williams did last year is gonna be in a very fantasy friendly role.

Sean mcveigh has traditionally when he's had a guy that he valued and he really trusts he rides that player.

He's, he is extremely trusting of a feature back.

Now, when the Rams drafted Blake Kham, the immediate assumption and really what the, the coaching staff told us and and the front office told us was that they drafted Blake Kham to be kind of insurance for Kyron Williams.

So they didn't run Kyron Williams into the ground.

He was clearly going to mix in if Kyron Williams is healthy.

Now, this situation makes us, I think again, it makes to re examine our priors on this backfield, right now in early best ball drafts, Kyron Williams is RB 7/15 overall player off the board.

Blake Corum.

RB 39 100 and 26th player off the board.

I think there's a chance, albeit maybe a small chance, 10% 15% chance in the range of outcomes that Blake Kham just eventually leapfrogs Kyron Williams in terms of touches here, especially if the veteran back misses some time in the off-season.

So you look at Blake Corum right now, an extremely enticing pick in early baseball drafts and somebody I think we have to pay attention to this AD P over the course of the summer cause if Williams misses time and Koram rises up the depth chart, he could be a guy that jumps many, many rounds in AD P and then it will be fascinating to see where Kyron Williams who was one of the league true league winners last year where he ends up falling in drafts this summer.
