Denver mayoral candidates lay out approaches to address transportation issues facing the city

The next topic covers transportation. RTD provides nearly all of the diverse transit services, yet faces long term budget issues, isn’t affordable for all Denverites and doesn’t reach all neighborhoods. Is it the city government’s responsibility to step up and pay for more transit services in the city? If so, what would be each candidate’s approach? Also in this segment, Denver’s approach to streets has changed. We’re learning how to divide that space between drivers and cyclists, scooters and pedestrians. Is Denver on the right path when it comes to adding more protected lanes for non-vehicle uses?
