MATT HARMON: Darren Waller. You look at the offense that the Giants ran last year. They were very conservative. They were very run-heavy. And I think that was good coaching because their two best players on offense are Saquon Barkley and a run-first quarterback in Daniel Jones. I love Daniel Jones in fantasy this year. You think about like, OK, if this receiver corps remake that they've had here works out, like Darren Waller is the guy that they think he can be.
They have a good in-line tight end in Dan Bellinger too. I think he's a pretty good-- he's a pretty good option as well. I like Isaiah Hodgins. I think he gives him a solid answer as an X receiver. They have a thousand vertical stretch flanker players. They have 3,000 slot receiver options.
If Brian Daboll and Mike Kafka now are more confident in opening the offense up, I think the biggest beneficiary here is Darren Waller. And you just look at upside at tight end versus the field, it's hard not to rank Darren Waller as a guy that could be a top five tight end. Where do you have Darren Waller ranked? And is there-- is there a spot where it's like, OK, you need to calm down with Darren Waller?
SCOTT BARRETT: This feels like a trap because this is supposed to be players that you're-- are difficult to rank when all you did was just hype him up. And I feel the exact same damn way. This is my Exodia tight end, which means he's like my must-draft tight end. I don't want to leave a draft without him. It's like a super nerdy Yu-Gi-Oh reference where you just draft this player and then you automatically win.
That is who Darren Waller is to me. He's going to be the wide receiver 1 for the New York Giants. This is the best wide receiver Daniel Jones has ever had. And he's going to be targeted as such, so as long as he stays healthy. That's the only question to me. I see him finishing potentially as a fantasy wide receiver 1. So obviously, upside off the charts at this devalued, less valuable position. So I'm all in on him. And you said you like Daniel Jones this year as well, and so do I.
MATT HARMON: It's hard for me to rank Darren Waller because I'm really high on him. And I don't want to look like a jackass with a too high ranking on Darren Waller.
SCOTT BARRETT: I have him tight end three.
MATT HARMON: Yeah, I have him--
SCOTT BARRETT: Tied with TJ Hockenson. There's like--
MATT HARMON: Yeah, I have-- I have him at tight end 4 and same tier right there with TJ Hockenson.
SCOTT BARRETT: And that's just right. That's just the right answer, I think.
