For many weeks, even when Mike McCarthy had the head coaching job of the Dallas Cowboys, there was plenty of speculation.

Maybe owner Jerry Jones might look to Deion Sanders to come from the college ranks to coach the Cowboys for the 2025 season.

Well, with McCarthy out of the way, he's no longer the Cowboys' coach.

Jones and Sanders have had conversations about the Cowboys' head coaching job, according to multiple reports.

Obviously it's a fascinating pairing if it ever happens.

There's still a long way to go.

The Cowboys are going to talk to other candidates.

Sanders would have to decide if he wants to leave Colorado for an NFL job, but the headlines would be.

Generated from that pairing would be immense.

We have to wonder, can Sanders' style in college translate to the NFL?
