What would it take for Clyde Edwards-Helaire to be a top fantasy RB in 2021?

MATT HARMON: Earning fantasy football question for the Kansas City Chiefs after a mere disappointing rookie year from Clyde Edwards-Helaire. What would it take for the second year back to jump into the top 10 or even the top five at the position? Well, top 5 is a bit much, but top 10 honestly, not that much needs to happen. Most of the variables that caused folks like myself to boost Edwards-Helaire up into that range prior to his rookie year in fantasy draft still exists to this day. He's still the top back on a Patrick Mahomes led offense and that's a pretty valuable proposition in its own right.

But while we all sit here and debate who's going to pick up the slack behind Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, Mecole Hardman, DeMarcus Robinson, all these guys, what if the answer is just more passes to CEH? What if he gets way more targets than the four per game he saw last year? That could very well be the answer. You know, in that situation, if he is getting a ton of passing game work and is still the primary bulk carrier, which is obviously going to be the case, frankly I think is a pretty big value at running back 15. And he's a guy I'm definitely picking in that range.
